Election Results

The Democrats won big in the mid-term elections, gaining solid control of both houses of Congress.

This is a strong repudiation of President Trump's recent moves and policies.  This will weaken the president in his last two years in office.

It also indicates a strong likelihood that the Democrats will win the presidency in 2028.

This can have an effect of letting allies know that President Trump's moves against them are temporary, that the nation still wants good relations with our allies.  This may be good for the United States in the short term.

It drastically weakens the Republican party, and the Republican party right now is the only force restraining the liberal left from implementing their agenda.

We can see Satan's hand in this.  He weakens and divides the United States by swinging the pendulum from one extreme to the other.  His goal is to destroy the United States and to silence the Church of God and prevent us from getting the message of the true gospel and the Ezekiel warning to the masses.  He would like the United States, and many other nations, to go into the great tribulation without a warning, so he can accuse God of unfairness and pump into the minds of Catholics and Protestants the thought, "See, God is not fair, He is punishing you for your religious beliefs without first giving you a warning and a chance to escape the punishment by repenting".

Mr. Trump was elected two years ago, in part because of strong public reaction against the extreme policies and views of the left.  But in his own way, Mr. Trump has also been unpopular, and Satan is using that to stir up voter reaction to elect more extreme liberal Democrats to positions of power.

This will set up Democrats to resume the policies of President Biden and to go even further to the extreme left in certain matters.  If they hold the presidency and both houses of Congress after the 2028 election, they can do almost whatever they want.

They can open the borders to massive illegal immigration.  They can further promote homosexuality in the courts and the public schools.  They can pass a law enabling abortion in all 50 states.  They can increase public spending and run up the deficit and the debt to the point of bringing us near to economic collapse.  They may try to stop home schooling.  They can shut down partially or completely the work of the Church of God of preaching the true gospel and the Ezekiel warning, labeling our message as "hate speech".

Satan can only do what God allows, but God may allow him to do a lot to test us in the Church of God and to make us rely on Him for the help and power to do the work.  When God's time comes, He can demonstrate His power by helping us to get the message out with power, PROVIDED WE ARE FAITHFUL.  Right now, the Churches of God are not faithful.

Right now, we may have only a two-year window of opportunity to do something meaningful.  Starting January 2029 we may not be able to do the work the same way we have been doing it.  Liberals in government can shut down our message.  And their leftist policies can weaken and destroy the United States from within.

Let's take advantage of the time we have.  And let us repent and put God first in our beliefs and practices, believing God's word, the Bible, more than our ministers and traditions, as Mr. Armstrong put God and the Bible first setting us an example to follow.
