Christ defeats Satan at the beginning of the millennium and puts Him in the bottomless pit. Even though Satan is released briefly after the millennium, that does not change the fact that Christ has defeated him at the beginning of the millennium.author@ptgbook.orghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13775228362728122027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1081631727760066049.post-7249144276682309272013-10-23T21:17:55.613-05:002013-10-23T21:17:55.613-05:00Author, in your millennium example, you wrote &quo...Author, in your millennium example, you wrote "...Suppose you are put in charge of five cities in the millennium. Perhaps Peter is your boss in charge of an entire tribe in Israel, and you are given authority over five cities in that tribe. David will be king over all twelve tribes, so David will have authority over Peter. Christ will rule the earth, all nations, not just Israel, so He has authority over David, and God the Father has authority over Christ..."

It's been somewhat quiet on this forum site, so I thought I'd provide a comment about something relative to that millennium where many apparently believe Christ will be on earth ruling. Has anyone heard others say that Christ will not be ruling until later: after the millennium?

For example, verses such as the following may be quoted:

Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Hebrews 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Then a comment is made to cite that Satan and his angels are enemies, which will be allowed to again deceive this world after the millennium and cause wars again.

Hence, comment is made that Christ, at the Father's right hand, may not actually rule on earth until after those enemies have been subdued and destroyed: hence some time after the millennium.

John
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
