If this closure of embassies is just in response to hints of terrorist activity, I find it embarrassing that the United States, not other countries, closes its embassies rather than protects them, in effect fleeing from terrorists out of fear, even when other countries do not close their embassies. It sends a message to our enemies that we are weak, that we are afraid, that we won't risk our lives to defend ourselves. That is dangerous. It also sends a message to our allies that perhaps we cannot be depended on to protect them - if we cannot protect our own embassies, how can we protect our allies? And this can speed up the arming of Europe, because if they cannot trust us to protect them they have to be prepared to protect themselves without us.author@ptgbook.orghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13775228362728122027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1081631727760066049.post-20405856951573209922013-08-10T09:19:26.197-05:002013-08-10T09:19:26.197-05:00And I suppose we could add the following "foo...And I suppose we could add the following "food for thought" to the speculations you gave:

"And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth."

That is with emphasis on the two phrases "...and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them...when none pursueth."

JohnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
