It is Satan's nature that he put into the human race, that is evil. I used the term "human nature" to include Satan's nature as he has put it into the human race, not as God created Adam.author@ptgbook.orghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13775228362728122027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1081631727760066049.post-53400514633226566222013-03-22T13:00:13.773-05:002013-03-22T13:00:13.773-05:00Author, you gave us "some food for thought,&q...Author, you gave us "some food for thought," namely:

******
"...Once we are in the Kingdom of God, we cannot sin, ever, not even a little, not even once, none of us, and we must voluntarily, willingly agree to that now in this life and demonstrate our agreement by striving with all our might to obey God and His law 100%, to put sin completely out of our lives, and to overcome our evil, sinful, lawless human nature. "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect" (Matthew 5:48).

Though we will not achieve perfection in this physical life, we are to strive for perfection, never being content with even a little sin in our lives, and God will then complete the process in the resurrection and make us perfect for eternity..."
******
As for some iron sharpening iron constructive criticism, I’d like to share/add some additional food for thought.

You write about evil, sinful, lawless human nature. I find that scripture says that human nature is “very good.” Why? The Bible says so:

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was VERY GOOD. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”Genesis 1:31

God created human beings, Adam and Eve, with human nature, “very good” human nature.

I suggest you may want to use the phrase “carnal nature” instead of “human nature,” because sin and evil will be with human beings until the day we die and the cause of carnal nature is Satan: not God.

The Apostle Paul knew this of himself:

Romans 7:17 “Now then it is no more I that do it, but SIN that dwelleth IN me.”

Paul knew sin dwelled “in” him, and it does in all Christians…all human beings even with “very good” human nature. Did Paul really mean what he said? Repetition is the best form of emphasis. Here’s Paul again:

Romans 7:20 “Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but SIN that dwelleth IN me.”

Not only does sin dwell within all human beings, but evil is present there also. It’s all part of being part of a creation made subject to vanity, but there’s hope!

Romans 7:21 “I find then a law, that, when I would do good, EVIL is present WITH me.”

And Paul stated all of that near the end of his life as an apostle!

JohnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
